Myers was an urban realist painter who painted mainly idealized urban ghetto scenes, such as this one. His work was exhibited at the Corcoran for many years, and at the Armory Show of 1913. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, The Phillips Collection and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others.
