American Chippendale Ox-Bow Slant-Front Desk. Massachusetts, Circa 1780. In Nicely Faded Mahogany, the hinged, rectangular lid opening to an interior fitted with an arrangement of valanced pigeonholes and small drawers. Rare Chester County Pennsylvania Spice Chest in walnut having a moulded cornice above a raised panel door opening to an arrangement of ten small drawers (one replaced) and raised on straight bracket feet. Secondary woods include: poplar, oak, walnut and beech. There is a faint inscription on one of the bottom drawers. Pennsylvania, circa 1760-80.

One of the most popular form of chairs in both England and America, the form was believed to have originated around Windsor Castle around 1700 and continued being made until the late 19th C. English examples typically have a pierced splat flanked by turned spindles , splay legs and use various woods including elm, oak, ash, and yew.

We often have a selection of both sidechairs and armchairs, usually singles and pairs and sometimes an assembled set.

Rare small-scale tea table, approx. 28" diameter, attributed to Henry Burnett. The best carved base. Note: cleats were trimmed back with shrinkage to the top--they extended over the plane of the top. Top is approx. 28" one way and 28 5/8" against the grain of the single board pie crust top. IN the opinion of my cabinetmakers, the top and base are original to one another. However, contrary opinion exists...
