Good looking handpainted old silverware box lined with silvercloth, possibly original. This interesting, early 20th Century box was likely converted in 1940s or 1950s to its present state as a useful storage box. The original stained wood finish has been overpainted in green, with outlining in gold; the American Eagle motif is a transfer design. No visible marks beyond a style number "1213" on the base.
