Exceptional English Colonial Traveling Box in solid calamander wood; having rectangular top opening to an interior fitted with a hinged lid and silver mounts and a swing out side pen & ink drawer. Circa 1835. (on later stand)
Important 18th-century English serpentine-fronted Kneehole Desk or Dressing Table in Mahogany, having a thumb-molded top above a case fitted with a leather-lined writing slide, one long drawer and six small drawers flanking a cabinet which slides back to form a kneehole. The case has canted corners with carved blind fretwork and is raised on ogee bracket feet, circa 1770.
George II Concertina Action Mahogany Gamestable. Circa 1730.
The gamestable has a rectangular top opening to a tooled leather playing surface above a veneered frieze and supported by cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Note the good proportions and extremely fine cartouche and leafage carving on the front knees. The accordian action allows for a complete skirt under the entire table when it is open.
