Striking pair of late 19th to early 20th Century, Japanese, Pigeon Blood Red, "Akasuke" (transparent red enamel over copper) Cloisonne Vases which have been drilled and made into matching lamps. Created in basse-taille (relief design which is formed into the copper and under the glaze), in a bamboo-leaf and bird pattern, and in the Japanese, ginbari style of the dimpled, foil background. Lovely early 20th Century Jasperware Lamp, Unsigned, in powder blue with off-white Acanthus Leaves surrounding the shoulders. A fine pair of French Late Nineteenth Century patinated bronze caryatid form candlesticks depicting Bacchus and his female companion, circa 1880. Each figure is wonderfully modeled and crisply cast. The bronze retains a fine rich surface. Both are mounted on shaped rouge marble bases. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Height 8",Width 3 1/2".
