This Petite Silver and Brass Converted Oil Lamp is in Excellent Overall Condition, c. late 19th century. Once an oil-burning lamp, it has recently been converted to electricity with a three-way switch added. The silver vessel is decorated with foliate designs, butterflies and hummingbirds topped by fluting, all on a raised base. A fine and very unusual pair of bronze owl form candlesticks, circa 1850. Each with a domed base, with basket weave and rope borders, supporting the plinth and standing owl. Just above is a round drip pan dressed with drop prisms with brass mounts. The candle nozzle is ribbed and is cast with the bobeche. Condition; very good with an old patina.
