A Fine and scarce 18th century Copper engraving depicting a female Blackamoor youth. Most curious and probably also medical in origin due to the white areas of sections of the form. French, circa: 1775-1795.
Selection of engravings from 1782-1797 editions-- Ichthylogie ou Histoire Naturel, Generale and Particular. About 10.5" x 17" Some are up to $450, depending on subject. About 14 currently available all unframed.
I have a pretty large group of these--some of them framed and matted. Some still unframed, like this "Banded Goatsucker." Do these birds still exist? God's variety is surely fascinating!!
I bought a near complete folio of these military engravings, 1704 with original title page. I'll sell them one at a time or in multiples. Each page size 14" x 19" approx.
