Scarce figural cast iron andirons in the shape of sitting cats with green glass marble eyes through which the fire glows, accompanied by their very rare original cast iron three piece fire tool set comprised of a shovel, broom and poker in their original cast iron stand. An original set of cast iron andirons in the form of Hessian Soldiers with old paint decoration that may be original and that is a slight variation of the usual color scheme. The best-known pattern of early 19th century cast andirons is that of Hessian Soldiers.
