Williams was born in Penryn, Cornwall in 1808 but lived chiefly at Bath, Torquay and Topsham in Devon (where he died in 1895). He exhibited regularly at The Royal Academy, the Suffolk Street Galleries and at the British Institution.
Rare Dutch colonial ebonized sewing table with mother-of-pearl inlay, having a rectangular, cut corner top opening to an extensively fitted interior with faux rosewood graining and raised on an octagonal pillar and similarly shaped platform base. Circa 1840.

Fine antique Regency turned leg pembroke table in mahogany, having a rectangular top with reeded edge and two drop leaves, above a single drawer with ebony stringing. Circa 1800.
Fine small English Regency lacquered papier-mâché tray with gilt ground and chinoiserie decoration. Circa 1815-30, on later custom made stand (minor losses to decoration).

Exceptional pair of 18th century delft vases fitted as bouillote lamps and now wired for electricity with ormolu mounts; having octagonal baluster form bodies with bird and floral decoration and scrolling candle arms. Probably French, Circa 1760-80.

Cornelis Kuypers (or Kuijpers) was a painter of landscapes, seascapes, and animated compositions. His work is represented at the city (Städt) museum in Amsterdam. Artist is listed in Benezit, Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs, et Graveurs, under Cornelis Kuijpers; and in Thieme/Becker, under Cornelis Kuypers.

Large Georgian Pierced Brass Fire Fender, having a bowed front, urn and “Prince of Wales” feather design and fine "bright-cut" engraving. English, Circa 1750. Please note that each end has been extended by 4" to fit a larger fireplace.
