An Eighteenth Century American comb back Windsor rocking chair, circa 1780. The chair has a serpentine shaped crest above a spindled back over a D-shaped seat above ring and baluster turned legs. The chair was later adapted as a rocking chair in the 19th Century. The surface is painted black. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Height: 43"(back), Depth: 17 1/4" (seat), Width: 24" (arm to arm).
