| Vividly colorful early 20th century fine German porcelain lamp in the oriental style, after one of a pair of 1850s, Paris, Candlelabra bases by the Jacob Petit porcelain manufactory; a blue-eyed oriental gentleman with fuschia crown sits upon a stack of soft cushions, first blue, plain white, then white with large gilded tassels and tiny gilded stars; he's wearing a bright blue robe with mint green sash, yellow blouse, vermillion balloon trousers, pink stockings, pale blue slippers, all richly gilded with tiny, intricate floral patterns; he sports a long brown moustache and a brown, very long, braided queue, and holds the stem of a large "flower" with large leaves, all richly gilded; the second piece of porcelain is the flower in vivid blue and white, again, richly gilded. "Germany" in underglaze grey on the inside base; "Germany" on base of the original porcelain finial. Original brass double-socket with pull chains; 24.5" (62.23 cm) to top of finial, 12.25" (31.11 cm) to top of porcelain flower. Excellent condition. c. 1900-1925. $40 US Shipping. | |||||||||
