| 19th Century French Porcelain Lamp with yellow, lavender and orange-rose colored flowers growing on a leafy vine climbing up the length of the neck. Bouquet designs of the same pattern center each of the four sides on the square base. Soft lavender lines the top and bottom of the custom parchment shade. This French antique lamp is 36”H, 19” diameter of round shade, 6” diameter of square base. * Porcelain trivia: In the second half of the 17th century much interest was taken in both faience and porcelain, although the technique of making soft-paste porcelain (pâté tendre) had yet to be mastered, and the secret of hard-paste porcelain manufacture was not discovered until the 18th century. | ||||||||||
