Lady in a Garden William B. Bennett (British, fl. 1900-1913) Watercolor on paper, signed and dated: “1906” . Provenance: Taggart, Jorgensen & Putman, Washington, DC. A painter of landscape and genre scenes, Bennett exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1900 to 1913. He made his home in Bushey, Hertford-shire. Bennett is listed in the Dictionary of British Art, Vol. IV, Victorian Painters by Wood.
