Oil on board, signed.

Painting size: 6” x 10.25”
Frame size: 8.5” x 12.75”

Hathaway specialized in small-scale paintings of New England coastal scenes. Today his work can be found in the Kendall Whaling Museum, and the Peabody Museum, both in Massachusetts, as well as the Mariner’s Museum in Newport News, Virginia.
